The RSI Mobile Unit represents the latest in high performance and low cost AVL devices.

The RSI Mobile unit features cutting-edge technology in an affordable location device with the smarts to help meet customers’ ever changing requirements. The GPS-based RSI Mobile unit offers technology and pricing advantages that lower the cost of delivering, supporting, and growing fleet-management solutions.  This newest design meets strict U.S. Military and SAE specifications for harsh environments. Enabled with "store and forward" functionality, the RSI Mobile Unit stores up to 10,000 events to ensure information is delivered.  RSI offers several types of mobile units with similar functionality that support different amounts of inputs/outputs, typically: up to 5 (standard) and up to 17 (optional). The RSI Mobile Unit can be configured with a wide variety of mobile data driver interface devices.

Each RSI Mobile unit is equipped with a state-of-the-art 50 channel, WAAS enabled, all-in-view GPS receiver.  This GPS receiver delivers superior performance and field-proven reliability and provides for fast signal reacquisition, position accuracy, and the filtering of spurious and erroneous data.   The GPS accuracy is 2.5 meters (8 feet).
