City of Tampa Fire Rescue:  RSI implemented a complete AVL and Mobile Data system for the City of Tampa, Florida.  The system operates over existing Tampa frequencies and towers, and is fully integrated to the Astra CAD system running on an IBM AS/400 system.  Another critical project component was interfacing to the City's Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system from Astra software of North Carolina.  This interface includes not just updating and status of vehicles from the MDT to the CAD, but also incident dispatch, and issuance of vehicle recommendation to the dispatcher based on the virtually real-time locations of the vehicles.  This enhanced features allows the dispatcher to select the closest vehicle to the incident, making sure that response times are minimized.

City of Cleveland Fire Department & EMS:  Serving the entire city of nearly a half of a million people, Cleveland EMS is responsible for operating and dispatching a fleet of emergency vehicles including fire apparatus, ambulances and supervisor units for a variety of emergency situations.  The RSI system combines GPS, CDMA wireless communications and customized GIS mapping software to allow Cleveland EMS to know the exact location and status of each of their vehicles at any given time, past or present.  Along with position information, additional data such as speed and light bar status is also gathered and transmitted wirelessly back to the dispatch center.  The system is also integrated with the City’s Intergraph CAD system on both the mobile and dispatch side.

Miami-Dade County: Miami-Dade County has the larges population in Florida and the 8th largest in the United States. RSI is implementing a large countywide AVL system for several departments and agencies including Fire Department, Public Works, Solid Waste, Consumer Services, Water, Buildings, Community Action, and others. Using RSI’s new ESRI ArcGIS Server based Web browser interface, county departments will be able to better manage their mobile assets and provide improved customer service.

City of Torrance Fire Department: RSI has implemented a custom GPS-based Vehicle Tracking System for the Torrance FD using existing VHF frequencies.  The system is integrated with the City’s Tritech CAD system and includes RSI’s SPOT (Site Preplan On-Board Technology) software for Pre-Incident Planning and In-Vehicle Navigation running on ruggedized mobile computers in the vehicles.  Torrance FD has seen a significant decrease in on-site response times since the implementation of the AVL system.

Hillsborough County Fire Rescue:  Hillsborough County is Located midway along the west coast of Florida and contains the City of Tampa.  It has 1,048 square miles of land and 24 square miles of inland water area for a total of 1,072 square miles. The unincorporated area encompasses 909 square miles, or more than 84 percent of the total county area.  RSI is installing an AVL and mobile data system to help the County dispatch its emergency vehicles more efficiently as well as work with the County’s VisionAir CAD system.  The RSI system includes SPOT mobile data software that provides valuable incident information on in-vehicle lap tops.

St. Lucie County Fire Rescue:  Radio Satellite Integrators has equipped the St. Lucie County Fire Rescue with a fully integrated Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) and mobile data system.  The turn-key system includes 43 of the District’s fire rescue vehicles and operates over a standard 2-way radio system that covers the entire county.  The system also includes fully ruggedized Mobile Data Computers running RSI’s SPOT (Site Preplan On-board Technology) mobile fire response software.  The AVL system is integrated with the existing CAD system.

And many more!
