RSI's modular equipment approach allows the customer to add on any type of in-vehicle mobile data device for a driver interface to the AVL system. Devices can range from a customized Garmin navigation device, to a simple Mobile Data Terminal (MDT), to a fully ruggedized laptop or tablet PC.  Customers can mix and match their vehicles with a variety of these devices, as well as add or remove devices to any part of their fleet at any time. RSI also offers customized mobile data software development that will create an integrated driver interface to any type of backend software such as work orders, dispatch, and maintenance programs.
