RF ID Technology

RF ID technology for identifying drivers or passengers can help automate various processes and data entry. Strategically placed readers can automatically identify drivers and passengers within the system which can then be used as an element in various manners such as mileage and ridership reports.

Magnetic Stripe Cards
Magnetic stripe cards use the same technology found on credit cards and other card swipe type  technologies including many existing ID cards.  Each individual will be required to physically swipe their card through a reader in order to be read.  The greatest benefits of using this technology is that it is very inexpensive and the system can use most existing ID cards that have magnetic stripes on them.

Bar Code Readers
Bar code reader systems can be used for both driver/passenger ID as well as a variety of other applications such as inspection or inventory management purposes.
