Using our highly versatile V-Track™ mobile unit, RSI also has the capability to be configured as a hybrid unit of up to three communications technologies simultaneously.  For instance RSI can implement a single system that uses both cellular and satellite data networks, or a system that uses cellular and WiFi. 

For example, the units could use the cellular network whenever possible and if the vehicle leaves cellular coverage in a remote area, the unit can switch to satellite communications to send the data.  To minimize fees, the system can send data at different increments depending on the vehicle's status or which network it is using.

The 32-bit Intel processor in our V-Track™ possesses the intelligence to search and switch to the preferred technology based on availability in order to use the lowest cost solution whenever possible.   The V-Track™ Unit was engineered for easy upgrades and augmentation to new wireless technologies so a system can be converted to be hybrid at any point.  The unit can be configured to use or migrate to virtually any wireless network system now or in the future.
